2 public technology service platforms received supportive funds of RMB 1 million

Recently, it was learnt from the Binhu District Bureau of Economy and Information Technology that Jiangsu Electronic Information Products Quality Supervision Inspection Research Institute and Wuxi Jingwei Textile Technology Test Co., Ltd., 2 public technology service platforms in the district, respectively received special guidance funds of Jiangsu industrial and information industrial transformation and upgrade in 2014 of RMB 500 thousand, becoming the only 2 units to get the supportive fund in the whole city this time. 
Public technology service platform refers to an institution or entity that depends on industrial cluster or advantageous industry and specially provides technology research and development, product development, quality detection and other public technology support services to enterprises especially innovation and venture enterprises. Reportedly, there have been 6 province-level public technology service demonstration platforms including Wuxi National Industrial Design Park Public Technology Service Platform and Jiangsu Provincial Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Supercomputing Application Public Technology Service Platform, whose service content contains medicine research and development, industrial design and other multiple aspects, and having played pivotal roles in accelerating scientific and technological innovation of Binhu District's enterprises and enhancing industrial development competitiveness.
